In the sports world, the city’s most popular team is ironically headquartered about 120 miles north in Green Bay. The Packers are king throughout Wisconsin, but Milwaukee is home to the Milwaukee Brewers from Major League Baseball, Milwaukee Bucks from the NBA, the Mar-quette Golden Eagles college basketball team, the minor league hockey club Milwaukee Admi-rals and the indoor soccer team Milwaukee Wave.
Finally, much of the city’s social scene revolves around the classic corner tavern. In fact, some sources claim the city is home to more bars per capita than another city in the U.S.
